Timing: the best time to go on a diet is when your energies are high. When are your energies high? For most people it's when good things are happening in their lives, when everything is going smooth. But you can also find high energies when you are in a crisis. when everything is falling apart around you & in your life. Maybe a diet, some order in your eating regimen is the only thing you
CAN do. Sometimes one feels that he has no control over the events of
his/her life,and here is one thing a person can control. We CAN control
the things we enter our mouth. It's in our hands in more then one sense.
So there is at least one aspect in your life that you are able to be in
control of. Taking charge of this aspect of your life, the food you let
in through your mouth, I assure you, will make you feel a bit better about
your existence. Being here and now enables you to realize your abilities, your choices. Don't dwell on the things you call past, don’t live in the future, and be attentive to feeling the essence of your existence here & now. If you choose that, you can see that there is always time for a diet, or for what ever you choose to enter into your life. Driving Force: One needs a driving force, a reason to go on a diet, a
reason to go changing ones routines .Every reason is good as long as it
can hold for a while. It should be strong enough to hold a period of time
in which you can start seeing results & be happy about them. Then
you can go on, relying on other reasons you create to help you walk through
the valley of diet. Objectives: put your intentions on some reasonable objectives. You can
also put them on some crazy dreamy objectives. Just have some intentions
set .Set them on easy diet or fast diet, set them on lean & muscular
body ,set them on improving your health or improving your looks. Set them
on finding a partner or on leaving one .Set them on climbing a mountain
or running a race ,on winning a prize or on spiritual evolution .Whatever
works for you, you choose ,you are the one to make the links ,you are
the one to walk the way. Strategy:Each of us knows his/her weak spots ,its time to find a way
to overcome them .You shouldn’t do it face to face ,its more difficult
that way , & even if you can do it ,how long can you hold ?For example,
you don’t eat anything for a whole day, that's a face to face strategy.Ok,
some of you can hold a few days( -it’s a Chinese method called refusing
food Qi- Gong-I tried it , its not for a diet) . In a diet you need to
find your balanced way of eating, a one you can keep on using fully or
partly after you achieved your objectives. So you don’t fight eating
by stopping to eat, you come from the sides, you need strategy. An example
for strategy will be not to have too much food stored in your house, or
not to buy or have stocks of things you cannot resist. Have a minimal
supply for one day, for a lean day .Have more vegetables as substitutions.
It's hard to stand the temptations once they are within your reach. It's
easier to overcome the thoughts about them when they are not present. |
